Snow, Compost and Happy Dogs

Wednesday

Thursday

Iwona planting more seeds in flats.

Our seedlings are slowly growing in our mini greenhouse...

I have recently been turning 3 of our 5 compost piles.  My observation is that we haven't been using enough carbon (straw and leaves) as well as too much coffee grounds. We must use way more carbon in the future as the juice pulp from Body and the coffee grounds are extremely dense and rich.  All three piles have been relayered with a generous amount of straw.

NOTICE:  Change of schedule for our Garden Parties
Wed. and Sat. 3:00-6:00pm

REMINDER:  Dandelion Ranch Planning Meeting
Sat April 14
9:00am-12:30pm
Location to be determined

This will be an important meeting to plan how Dandelion Ranch will function in the coming season and beyond. The small group that initiated the garden with the help of volunteers, has established infrastructure and set things in motion. Now is the time for the larger community to step forward and take more of a leadership role. The group as a whole will decide how the garden functions from now on. An agenda will be proposed and everyone is asked to contribute on the Facebook Dandelion Ranch group page
