About Us

Dandelion Ranch is an experiment in urban farming in the heart of Santa Fe.  It is a place of practice, not just about gardening or animal husbandry (chickens and turkeys), but about community building.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, come see what we are doing-developing a new model of community gardening on private property.  The hosts (Dan and Giselle Piburn) provide the land.  We provide the hands.  We learn how to work in community and share the bounty in many more ways than just with food.

Come play with us and help build a thriving community of practice that can inspire many more community gardens like this one, helping regenerate our local biosphere, one little garden at a time.

Hope to see you soon.

“One of the most important resources that a garden makes available for use, is the gardener's own body. A garden gives the body the dignity of working in its own support. It is a way of rejoining the human race”.
- Wendell Berry

“We are the living links in a life force that moves and plays around and through us, binding the deepest soils with the farthest stars".

- Alan Chadwick

PS.  Dandelion is a child-friendly environment. We have a big trampoline and a swing, and lot of room for children to play.
