Fresh Ranch Eggs for Sale $5/dozen

'Barreds and Buffs'

Hi friends,
I'm amazed and actually looking at seven dozen fresh eggs on my counter!  Our happy, kid~snuggled hens are in production-overdrive.

As you probably know these young hens, (Barred Rocks and Buff Orphingtons) are fed a steady supply of organic compost from BODY and Ranchway Layer Pellets and Poultry Maintenance Diet from the Feedbin.   They are not organic eggs, but they are supremely organically fortified and they have an exquisite color, texture and flavor.   We have two roosters who keep a large percentage of the eggs fertile which is arguably a nutritional plus.

All the eggs are inspected and hand washed by our family and they are loaded into cartons that we've saved of that have been donated to us.  We have in the past divided the cartons in half and simply given them away to delighted visitors, but now, with over 20 birds in our flock, we are earnestly hoping to sell these eggs to fortify our feed budget.  What we'd like to do in the immediate future is transition to 100% organic feed.

With all that in mind we are selling a dozen eggs for a suggested donation of $5.00.

At $30 for a 40lbs bag, we'd be looking at about $70-$80 a month for the organic feed.
You can help us and we can provide you with delicious, healthy eggs that come from your own neighborhood and you are welcome to come by and visit us and the 'happy~girls' of the Dandelion Ranch!

If you'd like to order a dozen or more eggs simply call at 505-989-4424 and  we'll let you know when they're ready, when to come by or when I can deliver.

You're also welcome to visit the ranch and join in the work parties on Wednesdays and Saturdays 1:00-4:00pm.  There are many exciting projects and learning opportunities on site.

With love and gratitude, Dan, Giselle, Coleman and Amelie Piburn (the Dandelion Ranch hosts)
