Ordering Seeds, Cedar Flats and Fresh Eggs

A lively discussion took place on Wednesday at the Santa Fe Baking Co. for our first general meeting of the year. We began discussing what plants we want to grow this year (see list below).
Next step is to have the people interested form a committee and get together to choose and order the seeds.

That afternoon, our resident carpenter was busy building seed flats to start seedling in the next few weeks.

Honoring a commitment to sustainability, old cedar fence boards were used to build the flats.

Seven new seeds flats were built and the wood scraps happily found their place in the kindling box...

Taetyn sneaking in the chicken coop to inspect our egg production

Giselle feeding the chickens with some of the food scraps we collect from the Body restaurant

John cleaning dead plants from one of the arugula beds

Many plants are alive and...growing.
